David Mackay

General Manager Operations

Dave has over 20 years experience in the mining industry. Educated at the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, he graduated in 2000 and started at MIM as Graduate Mining Engineer. Since then he held a variety of roles including Mine Planning Engineer for MIM, Production Engineer for Placer Dome and Senior Mining Engineer for Barrick.  Dave started at Ravenswood in 2006 and through his service at Ravenswood he has been Senior Mining Engineer, Underground Manager for Mt. Wright, Mining Manager, Projects Manager and Acting General Manager before being appointed to his current role.
