We’re a private Australian company that own and operate the gold mining operation in the historic gold rush town of Ravenswood, Queensland. Ravenswood Gold is the largest gold mine in Queensland and has seen an incredible transformation on the path to unprecedented success. We’ve committed to a significant expansion of the existing mining operation that will see gold production increase to over 200,000 ounces per year and extend the life of the operation beyond 2035.
Our goal is a long-term future in low-cost gold mining and even potentially contributing to the Brisbane Olympics in 2032.

Board Members
Owen Hegarty OAM
Chairman
Owen has more than 40 years experience in the global mining industry including 25 years with the Rio Tinto group where he was Managing Director of Rio Tinto Asia and Rio Tinto’s Australian copper and gold business from 1989 to 1994. Owen was the founder and Managing Director of Oxiana Limited where he led the growth of Oxiana from a junior explorer to an A$6 billion Asia Pacific base and precious metals producer. Owen was also Vice Chairman of ASX listed Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), one of the world’s largest iron ore companies, Executive Vice Chairman of Hong Kong listed resources companies, G Resources and Chairman of the Tigers Realm Minerals Group. Owen is a Fellow and Former Director of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). He is also an advisor on mining and resources generally to a number of government and industry associations. In 2019, Owen was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the AusIMM. The Honorary Fellowship recognises “exceptional achievement, service or contribution to the minerals sector” and is conferred on senior and influential professionals who have performed “notable, active and sustained service to the AusIMM or made a major contribution to the minerals sector.
Tim Duffy
Managing Director &
Chief Executive Officer
Tim is an international mining executive with more than 30 years' experience in the mining industry. He has a strong track record of leadership roles focused on development, growth and operational improvements. Prior to joining, Ravenswood Gold, Tim was CEO & Managing Director of Lubambe Copper Mine Ltd in Zambia, during a business turnaround of the underground operation. Previous to that he was CEO of PT Agincourt Resources in Indonesia. During his tenure, the team at the company’s Martabe Gold Mine achieved significant improvements in operating performance and the gold and silver resource and reserve base, ensuring a long and sustainable future. These outcomes were delivered with regard to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and cost discipline and a sustainable social license to operate.
Dwi Prasetyo Suseno
Director
Dwi is the Executive Director and Group CEO of Golden Energy & Resources Limited (GEAR), which was previously a SGX Mainboard listed international mining and resources company. Mr Suseno is responsible for managing operations for GEAR, including mining, logistics and coal marketing, as well as leading strategic initiatives and expansions. Mr Suseno began his career in Australia, where he was raised and educated, and he has over 26 years of experience in management, commercial, finance in mining, resources as well as oil and gas related industries in both Australia and internationally. Mr Suseno was previously an Executive Director and CFO of Straits Corporation Group, which was then part of SGX-listed coal mining company Straits Asia Resources Limited. Mr Suseno has previously worked with Baker Hughes Inc. (Fortune 500 NYSE listed oilfield services company), Arthur Andersen Australia and Ernst & Young LLP. Mr Suseno is a CPA in both Australia and Singapore, graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Australia, Graduate Diploma in Tax from the University of Melbourne’s Law Masters program, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from Curtin University. He also holds an executive Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management & Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Joshua Cochrane
Director
Joshua is a mining engineer with over 21 years of experience in open cut mining in Australia and Asia. He has worked in a variety of senior technical and operational roles in Australia and Indonesia, including with Sinarmas Mining, Sakari Resources, AngloCoal Australia and Rio Tinto. Joshua’s main expertise is in strategic mine planning, and he has worked with many operations to substantially increase value over the life of mine.
Mark Zhou
Director
Mark is an Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of Golden Energy & Resources Limited (GEAR), which was previously a SGX Mainboard listed international mining and resources company. He is responsible for strategic planning, corporate management, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities, corporate finance and treasury as well as investor relations of GEAR. He has more than 12 years of senior management and investment banking experience. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of PSL Holdings Limited and Chief Investment Officer of Geo Energy Resources Limited, both of which are listed on the main board of the Singapore Exchange. Prior to which Mark’s investment banking career was with Canaccord Genuity and Collins Stewart where he led various capital markets activities such as initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, rights issues, placements and financial advisory transactions on the Singapore Exchange. Mark graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Business degree with a double major in Banking and Finance as well as Business Law.
John Cholmley
Director
John is a chemical engineer with over 30 years experience in the resources industry. The majority of the first 17 years were spent in operational, technical, business improvement and management roles in base metal processing operations. These roles focused on the development of new operations and the significant improvement of existing ones including roles as Metallurgical Superintendent of Aberfoyle Resource’s (Australian Stock Exchange listed), Mt Gordon copper operation and Smelter Operations Leader of the Tomago Aluminium Smelter. John moved into an investments, mergers and acquisitions role with the expanding Oxiana Ltd, working with many members of the current EMR team since then. He later joined Tigers Realm Minerals Group in 2010 whereas Head of Business Development he was an integral member of the team that established three commodity focused public companies: Tigers Realm Coal; Asiamet Resources (copper); and NexGen Energy (uranium). John joined EMR Capital in 2015 as an Investment Director at EMR. John has led cross functional teams to assess resource opportunities in many parts of the world including Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Turkey, Russia and South America. At EMR Capital John has been closely involved in many portfolio companies including Ravenswood Gold.

Marco Alencar
Head of Business Improvement
& Operational Excellence
Marco is a qualified technology and electronics engineer with over 15 years of global experience within complex and multifaceted resource industries and technology environments. During his career, Marco worked as an Executive Consultant on various projects across the world for a few of the largest mining companies. Frequently presenting detailed report on process mapping and business improvement to senior management and boards of directors. Marco provided expertise and guidance in continuous improvement aiming business to increase their operational efficiency. He was responsible for development, implementation and direction of continuous improvement framework and programs for several operations and lead a range of initiatives including the development, execution and operation of the technology roadmap. Transformed most businesses into an exciting leading practise, leveraging automation, emerging digital technologies and data analytics.
Ian Wallace
General Manager - Finance
Ian Wallace is a CPA-qualified senior finance and commercial leader with over 20 years’ experience in the mining and resources sector. He has held senior roles within ASX- and NYSE-listed organisations including Stanmore Resources, Peabody Energy and BHP Billiton providing strategic financial leadership across large-scale, asset-intensive operations. Ian specialises in operational finance, business performance management, capital governance and cost optimisation, working closely with site and executive teams to support life-of-mine planning, major capital projects and value creation. He has played a lead role in significant M&A transactions, and is recognised for his practical, commercially focused leadership style.
Johanna Kennerley
Head of Sustainability & Environment
Johanna joins us from Carter Newell Lawyers where she was appointed as Partner in 2019. Johanna has a wealth of knowledge and experience working within the resources industry, including consulting and presenting on corporate ESG issues, significant experience in obtaining and maintaining environmental and project approvals for mines within Queensland and liaising with all levels of Government and community stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes. Johanna holds Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Master’s Degree in Environment Resources Law.
Geoff Atkinson
General Manager - Operations
Geoff brings outstanding mining leadership experience to our team, with an impressive track record as General Manager across multiple operations. With more than 16 years in significant senior management level roles at industry leaders such as BHP, Aeris Resources, Harmony Gold, Ok Tedi, Sedgman and Anglo American. Geoff's people-first approach and dedication to continuous improvement align perfectly with our values. He's known for leading by example, fostering collaboration, and delivering exceptional results. His proven track record spans safety excellence, extending mine life and much more – achievements he credits to his unwavering focus on empowering people.
Steve Harper
Exploration Manager
Steve was promoted to Exploration Manager for Ravenswood Gold after serving as Principal Exploration Geologist. Steve has worked on the Ravenswood deposit for almost six years and was originally charged with drilling the Buck Reef West deeps and construction of the 3D geology model for Resolute Mining Ltd in 2018. Prior to returning to Ravenswood, Steve held the role of Geology Manager for Red River Resources overseeing both mine and exploration geology teams at the Thalanga mine. Steve has over 20 years experience in gold and base metals mine and exploration geology within large, mid-tier and junior mining companies in domestic and international settings. Steve is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
