OUR OPERATIONS
We own and operate Queensland's largest goldmine, with a focus on operational excellence and efficiency, the environment and Ravenswood community. We undertake the end-to-end gold mining process, from discovery to the pouring of the final gold bar. We have a workforce of approximately 1,000 and our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement is set to significantly increase gold production to over 200,000 ounces per year and extend the life of the mine beyond 2039.

Ravenswood Goldmining operations are located alongside Ravenswood township, nestled just 120km South of Townsville (1.5 hour drive) in Queensland, Australia, and 90km East of Charters Towers (1 hour drive).

OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Beating fatigue using data in our modern fleet
We’ve made significant investments in modern mining fleet. Our fleet consists mainly of Hitachi trucks and excavators that are fitted with leading fleet management and fatigue monitoring technology. The fleet management system provides real time feedback to the operators to ensure correct material allocation while maximising payload, which improves productivity and fuel efficiency. The state-of-the-art fatigue monitoring system continuously monitors the alertness and attentiveness of our haulage operators, providing alarms and in-seat alerts to regain the operator’s focus when required, while also escalating fatigue issues to a Supervisor to enable human intervention.​
