OWEN HEGARTY

Executive Chairman 

BEc (Hons) (Monash), FAusIMM 

Owen has more than 40 years experience in the global mining industry including 25 years with the Rio Tinto group where he was Managing Director of Rio Tinto Asia and Rio Tinto’s Australian copper and gold business from 1989 to 1994.  Owen was the founder and Managing Director of Oxiana Limited where he led the growth of Oxiana from a junior explorer to an A$6 billion Asia Pacific base and precious metals producer.  
Owen was also Vice Chairman of ASX listed Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), one of the world’s largest iron ore companies, Executive Vice Chairman of Hong Kong listed resources companies, G Resources and Chairman of the Tigers Realm Minerals Group. 
Owen is a Fellow and Former Director of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). He is also an advisor on mining and resources generally to a number of government and industry associations.  
In 2019, Owen was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the AusIMM. The Honorary Fellowship recognises “exceptional achievement, service or contribution to the minerals sector” and is conferred on senior and influential professionals who have performed “notable, active and sustained service to the AusIMM or made a major contribution to the minerals sector.”

DWI PRASETYO SUSENO

Mr Dwi Suseno is the Executive Director and Group CEO of Golden Energy & Resources Limited (GEAR), a SGX Mainboard listed international mining and resources company. Mr Suseno is responsible for managing operations for GEAR, including mining, logistics and coal marketing, as well as leading strategic initiatives and expansions. Mr Suseno began his career in Australia, where he was raised and educated, and he has over 26 years of experience in management, commercial, finance in mining, resources as well as oil and gas related industries in both Australia and internationally. Mr Suseno was previously an Executive Director and CFO of Straits Corporation Group, which was then part of SGX-listed coal mining company Straits Asia Resources Limited. Mr Suseno has previously worked with Baker Hughes Inc. (Fortune 500 NYSE listed oilfield services company), Arthur Andersen Australia and Ernst & Young LLP. Mr Suseno is a CPA in both Australia and Singapore, graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Australia, Graduate Diploma in Tax from the University of Melbourne’s Law Masters program, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from Curtin University. He also holds an executive Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management & Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Director

Mr Suseno is an Executive Director and Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of GEAR. Mr Suseno has over 20 years of experience in management, commercial, finance in mining, commodities as well as oil & gas related industries in both Australia and internationally. Mr Suseno was previously an Executive Director and CFO of Straits Corporation Group, which was then part of SGX-listed coal mining company Straits Asia Resources Limited. Mr Suseno has previously worked with Baker Hughes Inc. (a Fortune 500 NYSE listed oilfield services company), Arthur Andersen Australia and Ernst & Young LLP.  Mr Suseno is a Certified Public Accountant in both Australia and Singapore, graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Australia, obtained a Graduate Diploma degree in Taxation Law Masters from University of Melbourne Australia as well as a Postgraduate Diploma is Business from Curtin University, Western Australia. He also holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management & Hong Kong university of Science and Technology.

MARK ZHOU

Mark is an Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of Golden Energy & Resources Limited (GEAR), a SGX Mainboard listed international mining and resources company. He is responsible for strategic planning, corporate management, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities, corporate finance and treasury as well as investor relations of GEAR. He has more than 12 years of senior management and investment banking experience. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of PSL Holdings Limited and Chief Investment Officer of Geo Energy Resources Limited, both of which are listed on the main board of the Singapore Exchange. Prior to which Mark’s investment banking career was with Canaccord Genuity and Collins Stewart where he led various capital markets activities such as initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, rights issues, placements and financial advisory transactions on the Singapore Exchange. Mark graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Business degree with a double major in Banking and Finance as well as Business Law.

Director

Mark is currently Senior Head of Investments of GEAR. He is responsible for overseeing and managing GEAR’s assets, fund raising and M&A activities as well as investor relations of GEAR. He has more than 12 years of senior management and investment banking experience. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of PSL Holdings Limited and Chief Investment Officer of Geo Energy Resources Limited, both of which are listed on the main board of the Singapore Exchange. BRETT FLETCHER

Brett is a qualified Mining Engineer (University of NSW) and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the metals and mining industry to Ravenswood Gold. Until recently he was CEO of Capricorn Copper, another EMR company in North Queensland. His experience within the Australian base metal mining and smelting sector is significant and he has held multiple executive and senior management roles.

Brett has been Executive General Manager PNG Operations at Newcrest where he was responsible for the Morobe Mining JV, Gosowong and Lihir, Chief Operating Officer of MMG, Chief Operating Officer Zinifex/OZ Minerals, General Manager Hobart Zinc Smelter, General Manager Century Zinc Mine, General Manager Rosebery Copper Lead-Zinc Mine and Manager UG Operations Broken Hill Zinc Mine. Brett is also currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Red River Re-sources Ltd, which operate the Thalanga operation near Charters Towers.

Joshua Cochrane

JOSHUA COCHRANE

Joshua is a mining engineer with over 21 years of experience in open cut mining in Australia and Asia. He has worked in a variety of senior technical and operational roles in Australia and Indonesia, including with Sinarmas Mining, Sakari Resources, AngloCoal Australia and Rio Tinto. Joshua’s main expertise is in strategic mine planning, and he has worked with many operations to substantially increase value over the life of mine.

IAN SMITH

Ian Smith is a mining engineer with more than 40 years’ experience in the mining and services sector. He has held some of the most senior positions in the Australian resources industry. Prior to being MD and CEO of Orica, he was MD and CEO of Newcrest, growing the business to what has become Australia’s biggest, and globally one of the largest, gold mining companies. In prior roles Ian was Global Head of Operational and Technical Excellence with Rio Tinto, London and Managing Director – Comalco Aluminium Smelting with Rio Tinto in Brisbane. He has technical, operational, financial and strategic expertise, having also held senior and executive positions with WMC Resources, Pasminco and CRA.
