Brett is a qualified Mining Engineer (University of NSW) and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the metals and mining industry to Ravenswood Gold. Until recently he was CEO of Capricorn Copper, another EMR company in North Queensland. His experience within the Australian base metal mining and smelting sector is significant and he has held multiple executive and senior management roles.
Brett has been Executive General Manager PNG Operations at Newcrest where he was responsible for the Morobe Mining JV, Gosowong and Lihir, Chief Operating Officer of MMG, Chief Operating Officer Zinifex/OZ Minerals, General Manager Hobart Zinc Smelter, General Manager Century Zinc Mine, General Manager Rosebery Copper Lead-Zinc Mine and Manager UG Operations Broken Hill Zinc Mine. Brett is also currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Red River Resources Ltd, which operate the Thalanga operation near Charters Towers.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Dave was appointed as General Manager Operations after previously being Acting General Manager at Ravenswood for the previous owners. Prior to this role he has accumulated over 20 years in the mining industry. Educated at the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, he graduated in 2000 and started at MIM as Graduate Mining Engineer. Since then he held a variety of roles including Mine Planning Engineer for MIM, Production Engineer for Placer Dome and Senior Mining Engineer for Barrick. Dave started at Ravenswood in 2006 and through his service at Ravenswood he has been Senior Mining Engineer, Underground Manager for Mt. Wright, Mining Manager, Projects Manager and Acting General Manager before being appointed to his current role.
General Manager Operations
Andrew is a metallurgist with over 30 years’ experience in project and operations management in a range of companies including mine operators, engineering and services companies. His career has progressed from technical roles in operations through to senior leadership and executive roles, generally in project development and execution. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Metallurgy) degree from the SA Institute of Technology (now University of SA), and is a fellow of the AusIMM and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
General Manager Projects
Andrew has 20 years experience in the resources sector and was formerly Chief Financial Officer at PanAust Limited, a global copper/gold company that produces over 500koz of gold equivalent. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer at ASX Listed Senex Energy Limited, Business Development at Anglo American and Project Finance and Transactional Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Andrew is responsible for the financial position of the company, maintaining economic discipline and developing strong commercial relationships.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.
Chief Financial Officer
Roxanne has 10 years of Human Resource experience within a range of industries. Prior to joining Ravenswood Gold, she was a Senior Advisor at Ausenco supporting their Operations and Maintenance business. Roxanne brings a wealth of industrial and employee relations knowledge to the team. Roxanne has completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management and International Business from the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Senior HR Partner
James has over 25 years geological and management experience in Australia, the Pacific Islands, SE Asia, Eastern Europe and South America. He has worked for a number of successful Exploration Companies such as Delta Gold, Newmont and Oxiana. He has also has worked across a wide range of geological deposit settings in all phases from grassroots and project generation, through to resource drill-outs and feasibility studies. James has a BSc (Hons) in Geology and a Business Diploma in Frontline Management. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG). He recently discovered a +1M ounce gold deposit in North Macedonia.
